Ridgeline

AI peer learning for solopreneurs and micro businesses

Shaped around your business, built to fit around a busy week, and practical enough to pay for itself.

You know AI could help your business. You've probably tried a few things already. But between running everything yourself and the flood of "amazing ChatGPT prompts" content, it's hard to figure out what actually works for your situation.

Ridgeline is an 8-week peer learning programme where solopreneurs and micro business owners share what they're discovering about AI, with practical guidance from someone who works with this stuff every day.

This isn't a first guess. The programme's already run several times, and the curriculum reflects what real groups found useful. Still just people figuring things out together, now with a structure that's been tested along the way.

"I would challenge anyone to attend this masterclass and not find something that will help their business."

Ben Anstee

How It Works

Mostly Asynchronous

Primary conversation happens via WhatsApp. Share questions, wins, and failures when it suits your schedule. "Engage as much as you're able" is the mentality. No pressure to be constantly active.

Practical Focus

I'll share frameworks and suggest things to try in your business. You experiment, report back on what worked (or didn't), and we all learn from the collective experience.

A Tested Curriculum

Eight weeks, one theme at a time, shaped by what previous groups found most useful. Past themes have included vibe coding your own simple tool, a "prompt glow-up" week for sharpening how you actually talk to these things, image generation, building a presentation, meeting intelligence tools, keeping persistent context across projects, automating a real task, and voice mode. The exact line-up flexes to fit what the group's actually working on, so it shifts a bit each time. Each week is applied to your business, not a lecture.

Three Live Sessions

Three Zoom calls anchor the programme: one at the start to build some connection, one at the midpoint to check in and troubleshoot, and one at the end to reflect and celebrate. The midpoint call got added after the first cohort said the fully async format left them wanting a check-in, and it made a real difference. Recordings available if you can't make it.

Small By Design

Cohorts run small, typically five people, so the conversation stays useful rather than diluted and everyone's actually part of it.

Real Problems Only

No theoretical exercises. We work on actual challenges in your business. If something doesn't apply to you, skip it and learn from others' experiences instead.

"It's always nice to learn in small groups where accountability drives your progress."

Andy Boothman, Busy as AB

What You'll Get

Practical guidance from someone who does this professionally. I work with organisations on AI strategy and implementation. You'll get the same frameworks and approaches, just adapted for your scale.

Peer learning that actually helps. Other people wrestling with similar challenges, sharing what works and what doesn't. Often more valuable than expert advice alone.

Safe space to experiment. Try things without worrying about looking stupid. Some of the best learning comes from "well, that was a waste of time" posts.

Realistic expectations. AI isn't magic. We'll figure out where it really helps your business and where you're better off doing things the old way.

Sustainable approach. Low time commitment means you can actually follow through rather than feeling guilty about another thing you signed up for but couldn't maintain.

What Past Participants Say

"There's a lot of AI gurus out there who basically want to tell you how great they are and how crap you are for not understanding. I don't think that's your approach. It's quite a breath of fresh air."

Nathan Whitbread

"The speed and the quality of the content I'm able to produce now is significantly different than at the start of this."

Chris Good, Good Logistics Consultancy Ltd

"It has been a great experience. So glad that I did this. I would definitely recommend doing this. It's really opened my eyes to what's possible."

Diane Faben, Founder at Mentors for Women

"I got so much from this experience, thank you so much Tom and the whole cohort. I learned so much, enjoyed the exploration and am more confident in what I am doing now."

Bekka Prideaux, The Curious Choice

Who This Is For

Solopreneurs and micro business owners who are:

  • Curious about AI but haven't found practical guidance for businesses at your scale
  • Wearing all the hats and don't have time for generic "10 amazing AI tips" content
  • Comfortable with some experimentation and learning from failures
  • Happy to share what you're discovering with others in the group

This probably isn't for you if:

  • You're looking for technical implementation support
  • You've already got AI working well in your business
  • You need 1:1 consulting rather than group learning

Though if you're in that second category and fancy being a peer mentor, I'd be interested to hear from you.

Need live, hands-on training for a team instead of solo peer learning? AI Skills Training is built for that. Running a larger organisation? AI eLearning scales self-paced learning across hundreds of people.

Running an incubator, accelerator, or local enterprise partnership? We can run a private version of Ridgeline just for your cohort, get in touch to talk it through.

The next cohort is due to run this Autumn.
